2017 Waterfront Winterfest


Saturday November 25th 4:00pm-9:00pm


5:00-6:00pm: Entertainment at Veterans Park with Tiffany Tarpley from WKYC Channel 3 in Cleveland, Jim Long, Director of Main Street Lorain – Lorain Growth Corporation and Stephen G. Bansek, Lorain Port Authority Board Member.

  • 5:00pm: Santa arrives at Veterans Park on the “Red Express” accompanied by Super Heroes and elves
  • 5:55pm: Santa flips the switch to light up Veterans Park
  • 5:00-6:00pm: Appearances by princesses Anna & Elsa
  • 6:00pm: Fireworks begin
  • 6:30pm: Fire & Ice tower will be lit at Veterans Park

Santa arrives at The Palace where he will visit with children. The Palace will have cartoons playing during this time.

4:00-8:00pm: Reindeer petting zoo at Veterans Park

5:00-9:00pm: Storyland will be open. 453 Broadway ( Northwest Annex)


6:00pm: Main Branch of the Public Library will be hosting a children’s program

5:00- 7:00pm: Moore House will be open with free tours sponsored by The Lorain Historical Society

5:00-9:00pm: The Arts Council will sponsor crafts

7:00-9:00pm: Performance by The Windjammers at the Charleston Coffee House

Make sure to stop and visit  Spectrum and LCCC Lorain Learning Center. The City Center offers public restrooms, a warm space to watch fireworks, and computers while Spectrum offers many delicious treats and this year will have a photo booth.

Santa will be available at the Palace on November 26, December 2, 3, 9, 10, 16, 17 from 4-7 each date.

Storyland will be open November 26, December 2, 3, 9, 10, 16, and 17 from 4-7 at the Northwest Bank Annex.  Stories will be read to the children and games will be played for prizes.
